Book review by Jim Pringle, NZ scholar of English, Journo and Radio Personality
A curious book of novel construction has landed from Northland, New Zealand , author, Steven Radich. The book explores the arrival on Earth of Alien expeditions and the consequent abductions of the populace from several parts of the planet to the outer regions of the cosmos. The book explores themes of conquest and colonisation and evoultion across the Milky Way.The story is constructed as a series of reports, or letters by the several protagonists detailing their various situations and predicaments. Mr Radich takes a scholarly and humorous approach to his material and his ear for the vernanular anchors the story in the here and now although set in the future. The book demonstrates a creative and innovative approach to writing and is an adventurous saga the outcome of which will surprise. This should appeal to all readers not just those with a preference for sci fi .An added glossary of the different tribes and personalities is included for the reader to assist in understanding the several merging stories .. The author of this review acknowledges his name appears as an encourager of the book's author.
